Heating controls let you heat the right rooms at the right times instead of the whole house at once. Upgrading your controls is one of the cheapest ways to cut a heating bill, and SEAI grants €700 towards it.

How the heating controls grant works

The €700 grant covers upgrading to a system with proper zoning and time/temperature control, typically separate zones for living areas and bedrooms, plus programmable controls. It's often claimed alongside insulation or a heat pump as part of a wider upgrade.

Am I eligible?

Your home must have been built and occupied before 2011, the work done by an SEAI-registered contractor, and a BER assessment carried out afterwards.
